Kristi is the Chief Executive Officer of Startec Compression and Process, a Calgary based manufacturer of compression, processing and refrigeration systems. With over 25 years of experience in the financial, oil and gas and manufacturing sectors, Kristi brings with her a wealth of strategic thinking and leadership knowledge, something that has set her apart in her career and her industry. In 2016, she was awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in Manufacturing raising her profile as an industry leader and innovator.
Kristi joined Startec after completing a B.Comm with Distinction from the University of Calgary and a Chartered Accountant designation. Her early career was spent at Grant Thornton and Compton Petroleum in management positions.
Continuously dedicated to improvement, Kristi is committed to challenging both herself and her business. She is currently a TEC Canada (The Executive Committee) member, and has completed the Ivey Quantum Shift program and the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) program. She is now a director on both the Strad and Startec boards and is determined to play a role in the evolution of the oil and gas industry and is passionately committed to finding a better way.
