Field Supervisor - Greeley, CO

Title: Field Supervisor

Major Responsibilities:

  • Complete coordination of Solids Control projects and personnel once dispatched at the field level
  • Organize, track and accurately document Solids Control equipment, parts and consumables
  • Train field techs and sit hands in all aspects of Solids Control, including maintenance and rig-ups
  • Ensure proper locations are specified and all Bonded Routes are respected
  • Provide onsite supervision and leadership to ensure the highest standard of service and training is provided
  • Ongoing communications including daily reporting of data and any issues at client sites to Operations Supervisor, Field Sales team and Branch Manager
  • Ensure compliance with SOP and established practices
  • Ensure that all field paperwork is completed accurately, signed off and submitted in a timely manner. Including but not limited to daily field tickets, work orders, incident reports, third party and rebills
  • Ensure that equipment maintenance is completed and documented showing equipment is working properly
  • Complete rig inspections and rig-up checks within the required timeframe and review findings with technicians in a timely manner
  • Daily reporting of man hours and equipment performance to Operations Supervisor
  • Ensure safety compliance both on and off job sites
  • Manage day to day customer and employee issues
  • Act as a conflict mediator and help in the resolution of any workplace conflicts
  • Additional duties based on business needs

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Oil and Gas industry specific experience, required
  • 1+ years’ experience in a supervisor role, strongly preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of Solids Control equipment and business unit
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Motivated to work independently
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Flexible schedule is required
  • Able to implement innovate solutions to on-the-job challenges
  • Strong interpersonal skills, both with fellow employees and customers

Physical Requirements:

  • Working in outdoor weather conditions in wet and extreme cold
  • Requires strenuous activities including walking, bending, climbing and being able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to meet DOT physical standards and comply with DOT regulations
  • Must be mentally alert at all times
  • Long shifts, regularly 13 hour shifts of work and driving long distances in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities of Managers and Supervisors:

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that Strad Safety Policies are implemented within the operations under their control.  The incumbent must actively monitor the workplace to ensure that acceptable standards are maintained.  Where risks are identified, the incumbent must ensure that these risks are controlled, so far as is reasonably practicable.

The incumbent’s duties include:

  • Ensuring that employees, contractors and visitors are aware of relevant HSE procedures
  • Establishing that all equipment, plant and substances used are suitable to be used for the task and are kept in good working conditions; this includes the regular maintenance and servicing of equipment
  • Providing and ensuring adequate training, information, instruction and supervision to ensure that work is conducted without harm to people or the environment
  • Taking immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to people or the environment arising from work activity
  • Bringing to the prompt attention of senior management any HSE issues that require attention
  • Ensuring that all incidents are properly recorded and reported, and that an investigation is carried out to establish and rectify root causes
