Major Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, USA the Project Manager / Estimator may oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of a specific short-term project which has a beginning, an end and specified deliverables.  Duties include:

  • Aide sales team in sales support
  • Oversee project management
  • Design and execute projects as needed for clients
  • Speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Develop new and unique ways to improve operations of the organization and to create new opportunities
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problem, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness
  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization
  • Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results
  • Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem

Specific Accountabilities:

Related to sales support:

  • Identify client, contact and define scope of work
  • Preliminary design as necessary
  • Estimate costs
  • Clear pricing, delivery and financing
  • General quotation with appropriate technical and commercial conditions
  • Revisions on clarify quotation as necessary
  • Obtain P.O. with clear scope and billing agreement

Related to project management:

  • Review quotation and purchase order
  • Generate work order and schedule
  • Generate order confirmation if purchase order not in hand

Related to Design:

  • Assemble necessary info for drafting (vessel sketch, design envelope, package description) using quotation as a baseline
  • Generate Equipment List using quotation as a baseline
  • Check approval drawings against client info, client specifications and location info; initial “CHK”
  • Obtain drawing approval (especially orientation) from client
  • Identify changes in scope after drawing approval
  • Estimate cost of scope changes

Related to Execution:

  • Kickoff meeting with CH4/Sunwell (review drawings, equipment list, 3rd party goods and services, NDE, shipment)
  • Have materials ordered – support purchasing as required
  • Review NDE and client 3rd party witness hold point with QC manager
  • Monitor progress against target schedule
  • Progress invoicing
  • Scope changes – identify, estimate, quote and document with client as necessary
  • Arrange pickup/shipping with client
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving (packing list, destination, weights, dimensions)

Related to Closeout:

  • Invoicing
  • As-building of drawings
  • Ensure data books and operating manuals completed, delivered and transmittal returned
  • Finalize and store project file including internal and client correspondence, copy of all drawing revisions, quotation and revisions, P.O. and revisions, work order, design, vendor correspondence.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • 5 + years Project Management / Estimator experience within Oil & Gas or construction industry required
  • Education, certifications: 
  • Generate creative, innovative solutions to problem solving
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexible and able to adapt to client needs


Physical Requirements:

  • Working in outdoor weather conditions in wet and extreme heat or cold may exist
  • Requires moderate activities including walking, bending, climbing and being able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be mentally alert at all times
