Small Footprint, High Performance

Strad’s glycol heaters are designed to be a reliable and cost-effective heating option for fluid inside 400 BBL tanks as well as a number of other surface equipment pieces on your project site.

Strad supplies these heating units as an alternative to high cost boilers and eliminates the hazards that come with boilers. These units burn diesel fuel and use a blower system to heat food-grade biodegradable glycol. The glycol is then circulated through a 1” hose which connects to any surface equipment that has a 1” or 2” steam line installed, keeping the internal fluid of the equipment at a desired temperature.

Glycol heaters are an environmentally friendly source of heating as their footprint can be as little as 1/8th the size of a traditional boiler building.

Features

  • Fuel type – diesel
  • Heat transfer fluid – propylene glycol
  • Burner heat input – 308,000 BTU
  • Burner heat output – 261,000 BTU
  • Power requirements are 110 volt, 20 amp
  • Adjustable fluid temperature from 100 – 200 degrees Fahrenheit
  • 85% efficiency
  • Run time – 50 hrs

Advantages

Glycol heaters are currently in high demand to heat fluid inside 400 BBL tanks. Units can also be used with any oilfield equipment that has a 1” or 2” steam line. Glycol units can also connect to Ruffneck Steam Heaters which enable forced air heating in a remote area.

Strad glycol heaters are an environmentally friendly source of heating, as their footprint can be as little as ⅛th the size of a traditional boiler building.

These units can run unattended since they are not a boiler device.
